Dominica (69 images)
I spent 4.5 days in Dominica. Dominica is an almost totally tourist free spot, due to the fact that it has no sandy beaches. The only American company I saw there was Budget rent-a-car. The island is almost completely unspoiled rainforest, with fantastic hiking and diving. The people were very friendly and easy to talk to. Dominica also has the last population of Carib Indians. The Carib were the original cannibal native people who populated the entirety of the Antilles.

Four days is really not enough for Dominica.  Had I had the trip to do over, I would have stayed another few days here. Still, it's hard not to be wiped out by all of the hiking and 3rd world driving.

Dominica was empty. Look at the photos and see how many times you see another person in them.
